[The Last Airbender]

Really like your idea about using all the elements and great composition. I would recommend doing some studies of fabrics to find out how light bends around it, and avoid using black when creating shadows. Sometimes a dark desaturated purple does the trick.

Also since fire is light I'd recommend adding highlights to it and reflects of those highlights on the water.

Thanks! This is really good advice. I've noticed that using black for shadows doesn't always look right, but I've never known what else I could use. I guess I'll try purple next time. I'll definitely look into fabrics and stuff. Oh and now that I look at it, the fire originally was much brighter but it ended up darker because I put a vignette on the image. I tried to but some orange highlights into the water but I think I was too cautious about it and went too subtle. Water is hard.
